Thank you for your patience in waiting for the introduction of our new timetable. We’re pleased to announce that the new schedule will be fully up and running from Sunday 2nd July. Though mostly the changes are minor, we do have a couple of little extras for you, including a new Sunday Cider Stop!
Those of you who are regulars on the 232 Daffodil Line will know that it became clear pretty soon after launch that the timetable needed some tweaking.
Because of the way the service runs, heavy traffic or roadworks can cause major late running during the course of a day.
The new timetable makes a time saving by using the bypass for some runs into Ledbury and also has more “recovery time” built in at different times of day.
We believe this will mean that the service will be much more punctual.
On the majority of journeys, you will notice very little difference in the times: we are still running every 2 hours, 7 days a week with evening services on Friday and Saturday.
But we did take the opportunity to make a couple of little additions.
First, the 232 will now pick up and drop off at John Masefield School in Ledbury during term time. Don’t forget school term tickets are available from DRM Bus for £150 per term.
Secondly, we’ve added an extra stop to the Sunday timetable and will be running directly to Westons Cider Mill in Much Marcle. Westons is a 10-minute walk from the Walwyn Arms stop in Much Marcle (where we stop every day), but for lazy Sunday Cider Stops we are running you right to the door.
There is plenty to do for all the family at Westons. There’s great food in the Scrumpy House restaurant from snacks to a full Sunday Roast. The shop offers cider deals you won’t find elsewhere – as well as local ice cream and other goodies, There’s a free play park for the kids, shire horses to see, and some great walks in the area.
Use our £3 Sunday day-rider ticket to combine a visit to Westons with a stop at nearby Hellens Manor for a great day out.
We hope the new timetable will give our passengers a more punctual services, and our drivers a more relaxed day.
Thanks for your continued support.
