There have been some exciting changes over the past year at Castle Fruit Farm.
Orchards Farm Shop has grown into a fully stocked, full-time farm shop celebrating fresh, local produce. The orchards themselves – now under the ownership of Clive Maile, familiar to many in the area and the driving force behind Bentleys Apple Juices – continue to produce the plums, apples and pears that so many people know and love.
Meanwhile, Michael and Chrissy Bentley are beginning a new adventure of their own, focussed on breathing new life into the farm’s historic buildings, creating welcoming spaces where people can gather, celebrate and connect. From workshops and small events to community activities and private gatherings, Bentley’s Barn offers a unique countryside setting, and the spaces are now available for hire.
To mark the start of this new chapter, the Bentleys are delighted to invite the community to a number of Arts & Craft for Wellbeing workshops throughout April and a fun-filled launch Open Day on the 30th of May.

Set to be a relaxed afternoon and evening of live music as we move towards the longest days of summer, the Open Day will take place from 3pm on Saturday, 30 May; welcoming local performers Helix Gold, Tracey and her band The Long View, and local barbershop quartet Something for the Weekend.
There will also be a fun spoon-playing workshop with Hilary – bring along a few spoons and discover which ones create the best rhythm!
Hot food, refreshments and Bentley’s Apple Juice will be available. Please bring your own alcohol and a chair. Parking will be available from 2pm, and, of course, our very own 232 Daffodil Line bus stops at the end of the drive.
Tickets are available for a minimum £10 donation, with all proceeds going to Let’s Talk Well, a charity supporting young people and families in Gloucestershire.
Save the date, gather friends and family, and enjoy a summer afternoon at Bentley’s Barn.
