Winter Solstice Sound Bath

18th December 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

£20

Allow yourself to be transported into your own deep space of connection and peace, bathing in the vibrational energies of healing Gongs & Bowls.

About this event

Set in the rural landscape of Herefordshire, Hellens Manor is a much-loved historic Tudor/Jacobean home.

Hellens is situated in beautiful grounds with extensive gardens, ponds and ancient woodland, a physic garden, knot and cloister garden and a yew labyrinth. It is a truly special place, with a magical environment that captivates every visitor.

Monthly Special Sound Baths will take place in the Great Barn, a 16th-century Tythe Barn steeped in history and atmosphere with its beautiful old beams and vaulted ceiling, a sacred space to contain sacred sounds.

Doors open from 6.40pm to start promptly at 7pm. Parking available on-site.  The sound session will last 90 minutes. All are invited to stay on for a chat and a warming cup of herbal tea after the session.

What to bring and wear

During the winter months, from November to March, please wear and bring extra warm clothes/sleeping bag, and consider bringing a hot water bottle (it can be filled on arrival).  We will continue the sessions in the beautiful Great Barn which although heated, is spacious and can get cooler during winter.

Wear loose, comfortable clothes, layers are best and a pair of warm socks. Please bring your own water bottle, mat, pillow, blankets and eye mask.

The Power of the Gong

The gong has been used throughout history as a ceremonial and healing instrument. It is believed to have been around for up to 5000 years, since the beginning of the Bronze Age.

The vibration of the gong is a powerful method for reducing stress. The gong induces a holistic resonance in the body and a spontaneous meditative state in the mind, resulting in a sense of expanded awareness and wholeness, and an intense sense of letting go.

I will be playing up to four gongs, along with crystal bowls and other therapeutic instruments and look forward to sharing the Sound Space with you on the night.

Contraindications

As the effects can be powerful, this gong bath is not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy or under the age of 13 years old.

If you have tinnitus or epilepsy, are fitted with a pacemaker or metal implants please contact Cecilia beforehand at info@csoundspace.com or on 07857 128082.
