House Tours and Open Gardens
1st September @ 10:30 am - 5:00 pm
FreeSplendid Hellens Manor is open to visitors every Wednesday, Sunday, and Bank holidays from April to mid-October.
This beautiful historic house in Much Marcle, Herefordshire, is a living monument to much of England’s history. Attractions include heirlooms of Anne Boleyn, the haunted bed chamber prepared for Queen Mary Tudor, the paneled Music Room adorned with its English Renaissance frieze, paintings by Gainsborough, Van Dyke, Peter Lely, and Goya, and the fascinating story of Hetty Walwyn.
The gardens, grounds and tea rooms are free to visit (donations welcome).
Tours of the house cost £9.50 (free for children) and need to be pre-booked online or by phone. Tours last about an hour and are a really fascinating insight into the long and colourful history of this private home, including its art, architecture, personalities and ghosts!
