Ross on Wye Rubbish Litter Festival

FreeWith free workshops, creating an art installation, music, food and community litter picks this festival looks like being a real eye-opener.
Friday 3rd November will see Sarah Turner – Eco Art & Design attending with her FREE drop in workshop from 11am – 3pm at the Market House. Participants will make a flower from recycled plastic to go into a larger art installation which will be hung from the Market House from Sun 5th Nov – it will come down for Remembrance Day. They will also make something to take away with them too.
Sun 5th November we have a jam packed day.
This will all be happening at the Market House in Ross.
To start the day we’ll have an unveiling/official naming of our new Hedgehog bin made by the talented Boocock.
Straight after this at just after 10am we’ll start with a litter pick of the town with Ross Community Litter Clean up Crew (RCLCUC), Helping Hand Environmental will be coming along to help too and are offering any participants 15% off litter picking equipment.
Meet at the Market House to participate, equipment and high vis will be provided.
We have a Junk Percussion workshop running throughout the day run by Primary Workshops for Schools – This is also a FREE drop in workshop and there will be a performance from those participants that would like to take part to round off the day at 2.45pm.
We’ll have art installations from Re-Cyborg The Art of Waste plus some other creative pieces of art too and we’ve also got stalls from Steampunk Creative Engineering and Tinkan Designs. We’re awaiting confirmation of some other cool stalls/activities as well.
Art Studio Ross will also be running a free workshop during the day – Details to follow.
We’ll have SOUP by T and The Paddle Kerne Bridge in attendance to keep us fortified and full of energy throughout the day.
